The Bridge Art Prize 2026 continues on the success of last year’s inaugural Derwent Valley Arts community-based celebration of the arts.
Offering an acquisitive main prize of $30,000, people’s choice, and junior categories, The Bridge is open to entries from across Tasmania.
The 2026 theme is ‘Load Bearing’ — every structure depends on elements that carry weight — we invite artists to explore the forces that shape our lives, the structures that underpin human experience.

Entries open Sunday 12 April and must be submitted by midnight Sunday 30 August.
Exhibition from Friday 23 October to 22 November.
